Orange Creamsicle is back again. This is one of the last milkshake IPA’s that we can’t seem to stop brewing. We brew this IPA to smell and taste just like the popular frozen ice cream novelty. The recipe starts out with a base of Pilsner malt, and smaller portions of wheat and flaked oats. We add some milk sugar during the boiling process for a small amount of extra sweetness and a richer mouthfeel. Citra and Mosaic hops are both used in the whirlpool stage for a light touch of citrus notes from the hops. We ferment this IPA with tangerine and orange puree, and then later on we dry hop the beer with Amarillo and Motueka hops to compliment the fruit. Vanilla flavor is added with a small amount of coconut cream to complete the beer.
