8 Ball Jacket - DDH DIPA w/Phantasm (9.2% ABV)

Great Notion is turning 8 years old, and to celebrate we wanted to brew something special that distills a few of our favorite brewing techniques and ingredients into one beer. 8 Ball Jacket is your new anniversary beer, a double dry hopped Hazy Double IPA with Phantasm.

Lots of flaked oats and wheat to keep this thing soft - like, Italian leather soft. No hop bitterness and maximum juiciness was needed, so a fat addition of Citra went into the whirlpool. Two early stage dry hops were done with double the amount of hops we would normally use in a beer like this. This helps express maximum tropical aromatics that Citra, Strata, and Nectaron have to offer while the Phantasm powder takes it to a higher level.
